I just found what was probably causing some of the bugs I was experiencing with the 2.0 update, the update has new item models in DATA\ITEM but I think they should have been in  DATA\ITEM\MODEL  :tongue:  Same thing with the new Object parts.

I just reapplied the v0.1 and then 2.0 updates to an untouched copy of Moratheia 1.0 and I think there's a problem with the new game start location. It seems to be set to a test location for a warp in a trench instead of the cave.  This is probably why I was getting a crash on death when playing with a v1.0 save.

But on the bright side, if I make the recommended deletions of unneeded data in the previous post along with wav re-sampling, the size of a max-compressed self-extracting archive for Moratheia would only be ~480MB

I can also upload it for you Ben, at least until you get back. I have pretty fast internet so it'd take me maybe 20-30 minutes. Just let me know if it's ok and I'll do it right away.

I can also delete what Hwitvlf suggested to fix the bugs he mentioned and lower the file size.

John, thanks for mentioning the patch problems. I was in a huge rush and decided (in my rushed state) to release the patch before leaving my main desktop PC behind. There are a few minor adjustments I want to make to the patch, but who knows when that'll be.

The start location sounds like a counter wasnt reset. This is on my part... Like I said I had tried to do a hundred odd things at once while I was modifying the patch, and I had to set a game start counter above its usual number to edit and test a start map.

Yeah, fear wasnt used eventually. I would really appreciate you applying the mentioned changes in the game folder, this is something I already fixed but didnt get around to uploading, except for a few changes you mentioned. I would appreciate it uploaded, too. Thanks

I'm uploading the Moratheia v1.0 right now - hopefully it will finish properly.

I thought it would be best to upload the patches separately since there may be a problem with the new game position in one of them. Hope that's okay.

Game is great so far - well done, sir!  Atmosphere is fantastic. 

I've only played for about an hour or 2 at this point, so I can't comment on anything farther in.  So far I have found two persistent crash points. (Windows 7, same computer I played Version 1.0 with.) One is at the area transition just south of Calethan, through the small gated door that opens up after talking to Mr. P at Calethan castle.  The other is in what appeared to be an area transition in the North, just past Bura and an egg thief. 

I also noticed that the two coins in the vicinity of the tavern re-spawned post-crash one time after I already collected them and traded them in.  But that only happened after one crash; couldn't repeat it.

Mord, could you attach your save please? I did not experience these crashes. I know that Mastertaffer could access the area just south of Calethan, so it should be fixable. Cheers

Hello Mord, I tested again and still could not replicate either crash.

Could you please try the following
- Make sure you have started a new game (2.0 is not save compatible)
- Exhaust Grias conversation before speaking to Paldy
- Have no 1.0 files mixed up somehow

If all that fails please send me your save
