Some interesting stuff there. I actually think it might be neat to stitch to two King's Field game maps together into one big King's Field World. You could maybe even add in the KF1 remake dungeons. Talk about an epic sized game.

I was a big fan of the early Zelda games and think a remake like you describe could be excellent. 1/3 through is a good amount of progress. Screenshots?

I was actually thinking about adding the entirety of the Underground Graveyard in the remake of KF3 as a sort of endgame gauntlet.

And yes, I do have an unfinished remapping of Hyrule in the works. The game will have a season shifting mechanic where you can switch between summer and winter, meaning there will be a snowy version of this map aswell.

Boy does that bring back memories! Sometimes, I'll pick up some item and hold it overhead making the Zelda "You found an item" sound... then my wife looks at me like I'm insane and I put the item down and change the subject quickly.  It looks very nice.

I think the Graveyard would be a neat as an end-game gauntlet. The plot in KF1 was that the Verdite King's were searching for a door to a dark world in the graveyard in order to draw power from. You could make it a plot point that the door had been reopened, filling the Graveyard with powerful creatures.

Made a start on the King's Field III remake today. So far I've set up the lighting and redish skybox, trying to make it look as close to the original as I can... :sweatdrop:

Wow, neat! The red sky changes the mood more that I would expect.

I really hope you do more custom map work for this one MT  You'll develop your skills as an artist and make something that stands out.

I'll have to Verdite, SOM doesn't exactly have everything I'll need.
