Here's a screenshot of a foggy dungeon (http://www.fromsoftware.jp/main/soft/images/mpimg_som_s1.gif) ...I think it looks better. It seems to imply some dank darkness, but it's more realistic. A dry dungeon would go off forever as long as the lighting permitted.

PS: I noticed the logo in your banner no longer goes to http://www.fromsoftware.jp/main/soft/som.html ...did you change that on purpose?


EDITED: On the other hand here (http://www.fromsoftware.jp/main/soft/images/mpimg_som_s3.gif) is a dungeon with same sort of "dark presence" logic. I think that would look more believable if the dungeon overall was quite dark. If you have really long indoor corridors in a dry/well lit area you might consider upping the draw distance as far as the longest corridor, or lighting the long corridor very sparsely.
