« Last post by marcdon on April 11, 2020, 09:45:34 am »
Search in hex for Lance 24 01 c8 00 46 01 6f 00 (class is Prince 24, level is 1, exp is 200, Hp is 326, mp is 111)

Depending on which "game" you select you may need to change the class for "Lance" and "Dryst" in more then one location in the game data or you can begin a new game and edit the savestate.

Change:
24: Prince => 67: King
28: Tyrant => 68: Super Tyrant

Lance 24 01 c8 00 46 01 6f 00
Dryst 28 15 aa 50 f6 01 98 00

Bro i would like to have to change class of eniede and meltorefas pls send also tnx

Game Chat / Brigandine Grand Edition: Cross MOD
« Last post by Auro Volos on March 15, 2020, 11:37:45 am »
Version 5.5

Hi there! I am creator of Brigandine: Cross MOD, and I will leave here an information about new updates, as well as all the necessary links.

First, a few words about the project. Cross MOD is a global mod for Brigandine: Grand Edition, which has totally reworked balance of knights, classes, magic, summon system and equipment. I mean that EVERYTHING in the game balance was redone (except for some things which I plan to work on in the future). The difficulty level here is higher than in a regular game, especially in boss battles. Also, some things you can enable or disable using special patcher called BrigaPPF (it is in the game folder).

So, the current mod version is 5.5 for now, and next version is already under development. Before the playing make sure that you have read the readme file. This version may have some glithes, but I'm working on fixing them.

Feel free to discuss this project here! I'm glad to answer your questions and see the suggestions for improving and finalizing the modification.

There are thorough instructions (in English) on the first screen, if you read them. (Old English is for converting old data, like it says.)

I click on English, Download, the language pack, download, then X. I followed the instructions, but it doesn't work.

X is probably to cancel/delete the download. Really read/follow the directions. They're designed to be intuitive/obvious, but follow the guide if all else fails. I really regret having the guide because it's hard to translate, but you have an English guide, so please use it:

Sword of Moonlight
KING'S FIELD Making Tool
World Language & Theme Pack Menu
================================

Step 1.
Press the big wide button below to begin downloading information about English language & theme packages.

Step 2.
Study the packages that should appear in the selection menu on the right just as soon as downloading completes.

Step 3.
There are two kinds of packages at this time indicated by the checklist in the top-right corner. There may be more by the time you are reading this.

Any items unchecked will appear in Japanese. In order to add a package, press the big wide button on the right. However first you may need to download/update it with the big wide button on the bottom.

Step 4.
When you are happy with your selections, press the big X in the top-right corner. Don't worry, if you are unhappy you can choose No.

Additional Instructions
=======================

The two buttons in the bottom-right corner let you add language/theme packs manually, from any location on your local network.

The ZIP button adds compressed packages. The other adds folders that are expected to be uncompressed packages.

To remove a package from your list, just make it blank. You can change the order in the same way. If two packages do the same thing, the package higher up in the list is used.

Strikeout: Oh, by X you mean you're closing the window? Did you actually choose to use any language packages? That's what the whole right side is for, and all of the other buttons. The guide doesn't explain every single button, including the Add button (+) and so on... obviously you need to satisfy the TOOL and DATA checklist :movingeyes:

EDITED: For the record I'm not trying to be a jerk! Also good luck with SOM and thanks for using the right version :rainbow:

EDITED: When you Close (X) it shows your registry changes. If you don't add packages this registry value is empty :smash2:

SOM Guides, FAQ and Help / How do I actually make the menus in the editor English?
« Last post by assd on March 04, 2020, 06:49:05 pm »
So, I'm trying out this engine, but everything is in Japanese. I've tried Old English, Default, and Neutral, but all of them doesn't make the text English. Am I doing something wrong?
I click on English, Download, the language pack, download, then X. I followed the instructions, but it doesn't work.

King's Field Series / Trilogy's Rosetta Stone?
« Last post by Holy_Diver on March 04, 2020, 06:23:25 pm »
Foreword: I don't mean this to be read like a "conspiracy theory".

I think I've actually stumbled/worked on/out the likely inspiration behind much of King's Field's unique/weird idiosyncrasies?

Here (http://www.swordofmoonlight.net/bbs2/index.php?topic=122.msg2810#msg2810) is my most recent go at laying out the evidence, but I've been slowly picking up the pieces for a few weeks. Some of the elements I've had suspicions about for many years.

Earlier I wrote some of this up on Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/KingsField/comments/f8sp8v/the_jewish_mysticism_of_kings_field/

What I mean to suggest is that whoever was behind the deep structure of the King's Field world/story was working primarily from this material all along. These topics may seem esoteric but I actually think they are relatively mainstream as these things go. They draw from Carl Jung's adventures probing his own unconscious and dreams and well-trodden elements of Kabbalah (the mainstream Jewish mystical tradition) that feature in a lot of other Japanese anime and video games from the same period. I think new-age books on these topics would have littered Japanese bookstores for much of the post-war period. They would have seemed very exotic and hard to resist I think... like illustrated books on extraterrestrials or anything like that.

EDITED: I don't want to suggest that I disapprove of this. I'm making a case for its likelihood. I actually think it's quite beautiful/apropos. What sent me down this rabbit hole was YouTube recommend I listen to David Bowie's Station to Station (usually thought his de facto masterpiece) that is a tour of the sefirot that I explain more of in these links.

Just like the Subject says, for some reason after the opening video, it just crashes to desktop. I managed to get it to load up once, but that was it...not sure what the problem is.

As some of you may have heard, bots have been destroying som.com and the site owner doesn't care much to deal with it - I wouldn't either. So we'd much prefer if everyone joined the Discord server to discuss SOM & King's Field from now on, as I have been maintaining it on a daily basis. We have sections for King's Field & SOM discussion, game promo, as well as a place where all the site's download links are kept. Although som.com won't be closing anytime soon, who's to say how much longer it will remain alive at this point, so come join us!

If the link is broken, PM JC Bailey - or better yet, PM @JC_Bailey1112 on Twitter for a much faster reply.
