May i ask a question regarding cross mod 6.1 where the game freeze after capturing certain castle? Mostly norgard and lower esgares area? Is there any solution for those?

Greetings,

I am currently developing a game similar to Brigandine and requesting your opinions on the following features I'd like to implement. It would also help if you could provide suggestions.

1. Each country has special knights that is specifically only available for that country. Might also go for special monsters. The units will depend upon the country's lore.

2. Inspired by CO abilities of Advanced Wars, each country will have stat adjustments on their monsters. For example, the Magic Country will have -10STR but +10 INT on monsters summoned. The Economy based country will have -10 to all stats, but levels up faster and has lower summon, upkeep and rune cost. The Quality-over-Quantity country will have +10 to all stats, but has increased summon, upkeep and rune cost. This will make each country somehow assymetric

3. Different Leadership Style. In runersia/forsena, there is only one ruler per country. I also would like to implement a feature, where one country is ruled by more than one, a country without a ruler, and a country where kingship passes to the highest leveled knight.

4. Legendary Monster. A very unique monster that can only be acquired thru quest with different skillset

This week I've tried to upgrade NPCs (incl. monsters) to move smoothly (not glitch out) when rounding corners, smoothly climb stairs, and fall, including gravity based falling velocity. This is the first time I've addressed NPC movement, which is pretty big deal, moving down my long list of priorities. Note, I'm not sure I got the final mix right, I've since seen it sometimes glitch some. I had to find a mix that would let the NPCs not slide into a stop but also be smooth when on the move, and it's very difficult to account for the variable movement speed that is based on how the control-point (CP) moves in the character models on any given frame. It will get better over time and I think there's still a serious bug in the clipper that will be addressed eventually, that's the main culprit in these glitches, but smoothing things over will remain important even after it's gone.

Update: The demo (previous post) (https://swordofmoonlight.itch.io/k) now showcases a supersampling mode (F1) and almost perfect controls.

With supersampling the visuals are perfected combined with the novel 3D anti-aliasing techniques. ATM I'm pretty deep into adding shields (finally) and some new kinds of inputs for the attack buttons. I've also begun an Exselector project. Today I realized in Latin "ex" means "from" in the same sense I think the "From Software" company name is intended to be understood, i.e. like "creatio ex nihilo" or "deus ex machina". My first goal for this Exselector project is to use the accelerometers in Sony's PS4 and PS5 controllers. It's kind of an extension of SomEx in the form of a new "DLL" file and simple EXE that will let it be used by itself to manage game settings and extensions which will supersede the in-game System menu.

Hi, guys. i want to bow down to this cool person, who made a translation of this cool game. I didn't believe my eyes, when i saw, that someone translated GE to english :) Also hardmode patch is very cool idea  :smile:

Assuming you know archive.org (how much of the site did it retain?) the Shadow Tower images AIRC (as I recall) were identical to the ones in the game, in which case you can get them of a copy of the game disc without much difficulty.

Something that always bothered me about that site is the second sword on its front page logo graphic... no one could place it in a game. Where were those images of it (and the MLS) taken from? Actually now that I think of it I kind of have a vague memory of a sword like that, I think it's from Abyss. Damn funny how just writing things down stirs memory.

Edited: Speak of the devil I keep waiting for this site to go down. I hope I end up with the domain if it ever does. I hope it isn't picked up by squatters or turned into a holding page without the website, that would be a great shame. (Not literally hoping for its demise but it's very dead too as you can well see.)
