The demo for my game is finished, I sent it to todd via e-mail. It is just one map but it is big and tells enough of the story to get the player introduced to the jist of the game. Comments are welcome.

The new house graphics are very good indeed.
Keep it up!

Got here from here (http://kingsfield.wiki.fc2.com/wiki/Wicklow) ...the screenshots are really nice (you can all thank me for the attachments feature later)
I still think some of the most effective work we could all do would be to form a graphics committee in order to improve the outdoors and castle sets. Basically everyone who's able and willing to do custom work taking orders from everyone involved. Whenever people get together for a practical communal good it always brings tears to my eyes :crying:

Update:
Wicklow Demo V1.1 is 90% done with title screen, 4 midi tracks and 3 new maps! That's 4 maps just for the town of wicklow itself. Additional maps (beyond the town) will include 100% original textures due to a darkbasic collection I retrieved from a back-up disk. The idea is to start with familiar and venture into the unknown.

Wicklow Demo V1.1 is finished but when I try to create a runtime, it gives me an error message (MAIN062 file missing) any help?
-
New Screenshots from Demo 1.1:

weird asus was having an issue earlier exporting his...the error he got was main067 instead of main062.
What the heck is going on?

I was able to fix the problem by manually transfering the missing files. Demo 1.1 sent to todd.

lol...
I'm probably going to release a novel before the game is done... I've been very meticulous of the story detail as well as keeping the names, places locations within a very believable context. All of the lore is symbolic and homogeneous.
-Mark... call me mark... lol
-
Symbolic lore can be dangerous :) and lead to interpretation.
-
Todd,
Have I done enough work for Wicklow to have it's own Forum? :smokin:

The Flag of Mighty Igleck... In the name of the Four Divines: May Trevera always be a Jewel in your crown!
-
Looking nice! Did you design this in GIMP?
-
no I did a quick 15 minute romp through 3dsmax5 and edited it in photoshop... more work to be done but I made the design myself... It is the Emblem of the four divines (four elements) who are worshiped in Igleck which is the mainlaind connected to Granityky and Verdite. Wicklow is in Trevera, a colony of Igleck built around the ruins of elves who disapeared. The three rings are Earth, Wind and Water and the Sword is Fire. Each divine emanates from the invisible Spirit who is both creation and creator. Details of Igleckian Theology are written in the "Scroll of the Divines" and "The History of Igleck" Volumes I-III available to read in the game.
Cyric Rhys, Duke of Trevera has written a book called "Meditations of Spirit" in which he criticizes Verdite and their myths of "Sylval and Vallad". Devyn Glyn, Lord of Wicklow is less critical and keeps secret stories of the Champions of Verdite.
"Death to the treacherous hermit!" - Tristen Price, advisor to Cyric Rhys
