Ha, it does make you wonder if the KF name came from here. There was a thread here awhile back about a couple other things from KF that really exist too like Dragon Fruit and Verdite. We should walk through Guyra holding a chunk of Verdite and eating a Dragon Fruit and see if any of the locals get it.

Evidently, the name "Guyra" originates from a word in the Anaiwan people's language meaning "white cockatoo", or "black cockatoo" to the Gumbayniggir people

Now that is interesting


If we're gonna be walking through Guyra, make sure you have a Figure of Seath on you, so you can get away with the SoM

Given the proximity to Japan, that seems like too big of a coincidence. I'd say there's a good chance that's where the name came from.  Wish there was someone to ask.
