Use right and left (1 and 3 on numpad) to change settings. Spacebar doesn't do anything here

Are you restricted to 640x480 resolution?

I've been messing around with all of the options and so far, nothing has caused my game to crash at the intro video. I'm pretty sure I had this problem though...

This is such a great remake, it would be a real shame if you couldn't get it running. I'm just gonna download it again and see if it does the same thing as yours

Xethuminra, it doesnt have any problems and I'm on a win7 machine. I am concerned about this crash. TheVisualNovel have you tried any other SoM games? I would like to know if it is project based or software based.

I will download it again and get you a save regardless.

Its just to test, Dark Destiny is a good game if you could try it, or a lighter download like The fall of Verdite

Here you go, TheVisualNovel this save is about 1 or 2 mins into the game. You might want to back track (south from the shopkeeper, turn right rather than left, then left again and ahead to the start... theres a symbol on the floor at the start of the game)

Let me know if it works

VisualNovel, I wish I could help you out here. I hope this doesn't dissuade you from playing. I'm 100% positive that I had this exact same problem, I'll post again if I figure anything out. Sorry I couldn't be of more help! I hope somebody else here can help you out. If you're interested in trying something else, King's Field II (US) is also an awesome game if you haven't already played it, and there are plenty of games on here to play as well! Good luck!

Screen flicker is usually caused by having background windows open (even if minimized) so when you run the .exe from the KF1 SoM foldder, you will need to alt+tab out to close the folder window. Of course its easier just to have a shortcut to the .exe
