Fearing the worst, the king led a detachment of knights to the island in an attempt to contain the spreading darkness, but they have not been heard from since. You play as a young prince who journeys to Melanat in search of his missing father, the king. From there, it is up to the player to explore the island and reveal its hidden secrets.

Also known as Dark Legacy, King’s Field V was an ambitious MasterTaffer (now JC Bailey) project. Gorgeous HD textures are used in this SoM project inspired by King’s Field IV. Taking place in the kingdom of Nephrite, this project was to tie everything in the King’s Field series together. However, it was cancelled and the playable demo was only ever sent to a handful of people.
An early JC Bailey project to recreate Shadow Tower in the Sword of Moonlight tool. The community banded together, stitching together assets from Japanese creator Ainsuph all the way from year 2000. Music and custom new assets and enemies were contributed. However, ambition faded and JC Bailey turned to other projects.
A SoM game set to take place in Egypt. Allegedly, most of the maps and levels were complete, and the game was set in the final polishing stage with enemy and NPC placements. A unique SoM setting that has not seen the light of day. No in-progress copies of the game were ever known to have been shared by Xtremez.
Before the English Sword of Moonlight community rallied around the translated version in 2007, there was a small Game Maker demo for Battle for the Inn. The game centered around the Verdite Inn, a King’s Field community. Take on the role of an innkeeper and clear the monsters out of the inn! The Game Maker version from 2004 was cancelled and a Sword of Moonlight version was set to take its place. A Sword of Moonlight demo for the game was released, but seems to now be lost.
